step 1: importer obtains application form from unit 4/5.
step 2: the applicant fills the application form.
step 3: the request letter is obtained from the relevant authority.
step 4: application form is submitted to unit 4/5 with support documents.
step 5: the head of the division examines the documents handed over.
step 6: applicant pays license fees to the cashier.
step 7: license is issued by unit 4/5.

validity period for items that require clearance from the ministry of environment and natural resources is decided by the ministry.

application form: there is no fee to obtain application form

cost:
penalties: if importations are done without obtaining license, 3 % – 10 % of the value of the goods exported will be charged as a fine. percentage will be decided by the controller.
surcharge: not applicable
